Canterbury Park horse racing season comes to a close

Labor Day weekend is recognized by many as the end of summer and a symbolic changing of the seasons. I live in Minnesota, and the change that takes place over the holiday weekend is unmistakable. The State Fair ends on Labor Day, a chance for Minnesotans to get together outdoors and enjoy the last gasps of summer. Football season is ready to start - and everyone can agree that makes it feel like fall probably more than anything else. Another sure sign fall is in the air is the end of live racing at Canterbury Park, Minnesota's premiere horse racing venue located in Shakopee. For those of you have not attended live racing at Canterbury, it is a wonderful track that features live horse racing 4 nights a week, simulcast races from around the country, and a poker room that is the best in the State. Sadly, if you didn't take in any live racing this year - you'll have to wait until 2013. Thanks to everyone at Canterbury Park who helped to make 2012 a very enjoyable year!
